A Visit to Grandma's

Last weekend we went to visit Grandma Carfaro and Uncle Billy. Madison is still a bit confused that Grandpa does not live there anymore and always asks when he is coming home. She is crazy about their bunny and their dog. She simply loves to go there and play with the animals. She needs nothing else... well almost. Sorry Grandma, but she is so in love with Uncle Billy and Jenna. She had Jenna doing all kinds of gymnastics and crazy moves until Uncle Billy came home. Then she got the 3 year old gitty laughs when they see a cute boy they want to show off to. Billy was lucky enough to come home right when Savannah wanted to go to bed. And his arms were her resting place. Madison also got a hold of my camera and went to take a dozen pictures of the bunny. Here is one to share. She actually did a pretty good job with the camera!

Been Busy...

I am sorry I have not really posted lately, I have just been so busy during the day that come night when I normally sit down at my computer, I am so tired I can not even type. I am feeling that way tonight, but I will dredge up a little energy to type a little tonight.

Yesterday was a big day for us and Jeff's sister and her family. They moved in with us. So now we have 2 extra adults and 2 extra 3 year olds living under our roof. This is really not too bad being that we have a whole "in-law suite" for them to live in. But I volunteered to watch their girls yesterday while they did some moving. They were here for a very short while in the AM while Jeff took them to PA to see Great Grandpa Young, or Big Pacca as Maddie calls him. They were gone for a few hours so I just cleaned and straightened messes that seemed like they would never go away. When Savannah took a nap I decided to do a little more work and then flop on the bed for a bit. I think I had my eyes closed for aprox 5 minutes and the kids were home. Jeff then informed me that is way my turn to watch the girls so he could do some yard work. Ok Ok ok... naps are always short lived around here! Anyhow, needless to say it is exhausting to watch 3 three year olds while they all want to do different things. We went from bubbles, to bikes, to swings, to ball tossing, to playing on climby things, back to bubbles, for a walk and everything in between. On the whole, the girls were all very well behaved, but let me just tell you how tired I was last night. Jeff and Harland took the girls in the hot tub last night before bed and then we all went in to pass out (even me.)

Madison is so very excited to have her cousins here everyday, but wants to go get them at 7am when she wakes up and wants to go to bed with them. I am not quite ready for the "sleep in the same room thing." But we will give it a try in Florida in a few weeks.

Here are a few pics from our day yesterday!
I personally love this picure of Harland. When he got into the hottub he had this silly grin on his face that was a mixture of... "this feels so great after a long hard day of moving and packing" and "I am so happy the new house has one of these." Believe me, Harland, winter nights are better than summer nights. I hope you can get your forever freezing wife out there with you! Looks like you are going to need thick bathrobes and slippers for xmas!

Tickled My Heart

There is nothing better than watching your husband play with the kids and the kids toys. Today Madison was given a gift of a huge set of Lincoln Logs. She was told they were something for her and Daddy to do together. So when Daddy and her had some time together tonight she brought them out to play with. It was so cute to watch them build together. But what really tickled my heart was that Jeff was playing for a bit with her, but she thought it was fun to knock the buildings down. Jeff had enough and told her that he was not playing anymore. I watched him continue to stare at the logs on the floor. He was not done playing I could tell. He popped off the couch about 2 minutes later and began to build again. He played with the logs for about 45 minutes all by himself, even after I had Maddie in bed. I love that!!! Here are a few pics of them tonight! Boy, I can not wait to see Jeff play with his son!

It's Official.....

I had my 20 week ultrasound today. It was excited to be confirmed that this is in fact a boy!! Although the thought of a boy is a little scary to me. I have always said I can not have a boy because I don't know how to make gun noises with my mouth and I don't know how to play with dinosaurs... but I guess I will have to learn. I am excited to see Jeff play with toys of his past instead of dolls. I am excited to buy blue, but I really don't need to. Jeff's cousin, SK, gave us a HUGE box of clothes. If all the seasons match we are in great shape. I do need some infant things, but not many. And it is a great feeling to confirm that I can get rid of the pink stuff. Now I need to find someone close to me to have a girls. Weather it be my sister, who is expecting her first or Jeff's cousin who is waiting to adopt a girl. We will wait a little longer until I will need to unload some pink!!!
