We had a wonderful day today!

I am sorry that I am writing this post and skipping all of the holidays, but today was such a wonderful day with my family I had to share!

Today started with a good nights sleep from all kids. And Jeff got up and took Maddie and Savannah to the bagel store and grocery store at 8 am. I got an extra hour to sleep while Tyler napped. It was so special to me to get that extra time. I don't think he has ever done this for me! Then we all got dressed and ate breakfast. We then did some productive things. Jeff cleaned out the refrigerator (and I did not even have to ask him to do it!) while I went through all of Maddie's old clothes and dug out some more clothes for Savannah. Then it was lunch time and Savannah took a nap. While she was napping Madison and I made letter cinnamon and sugar bread sticks and ran to Crate and Barrel. When we came home Savannah and Madison played with snow in the kitchen sink... SO MUCH FUN! We made a mini snowman too! Savannah was not too sure of the snow at first, but after a few minutes she could not get enough. Then we ordered dinner out. After dinner we took all the kids outside to play in the snow. This was Tyler's first time out (he hated it!) And Savannah's first time out this year! She loved it. She was in a toddler sled for a few minutes until I asked for Tyler to go in it. Then she jumped in Maddie's saucer and scooted her butt and flew down the hill. She loved it and could not get enough. Maddie does not like firetruck whistles and there was one in the neighborhood, so she really did not want to venture too far on the saucer. But she found other ways to have fun. We finished the night off with warm baths and a snack. Jeff is now pulling pork for our dinner tomorrow night, and I am blogging. When we are both done we are headed to the hottub! YEAH... We really had an awesome day. Not too many tears, happy kids, and no stress. I needed a day like today so badly!
Thank you Jeff for being a part of a wonderful day at home with the kids! I love you!
