Tylers Baptism

On Sunday March 1st, Tyler was finally baptised. I say FINALLY because I kept putting it off for the first 6 months of his life because something was always going on. The birth of my niece, thanksgiving, Christmas, and much more. I finally planned the baptism and then we came down with a stomach bug. I had to cancel the whole thing and do it the next week. If I did not do it March 1st, I would not have been able to do it until April. Unfortunately by the next week, half of my family was sick. It was not a pretty few weeks around here. Special thanks to Amy for taking some pics for us that day.

Playing Catch-up!

So I know I have been extremely negligent of this blog. I am sorry! I am busy and tired! Here are a bunch of pics of us from the past few months. Not much has changed around here. Just a quick kid update:

Maddie: She and I have had fun the past few days making chocolate covered Strawberries and Chocolate covered peeps, making valentines and playing Sorry! Maddie's a good kid, but she has been a bit bored lately with the winter months and having 2 siblings that keep us home for a good part of the day napping. This too shall pass!

Savannah: She makes me proud everyday. Her vocabulary is amazing. She wales up with a new word every day! She is very funny, I love to watch her play with Maddie. The girls are friends (most of the time) and can not deal with life without each other. It is so sweet! Savannah used to go to bed 1 hr before Maddie. We had to change that because she would just cry in her bed for an hour until Maddie came in. I can not wait to watch them grow up together!

Tyler: He is growing growing growing.. at 6 months old he is just over 21 lbs. And my back knows about every pound! Ugg. Although he is not rolling over yet, he can sit up and eats solid food 3 times per day! He is an overall happy kid. We just have to protect him from Savannah. She wants everything he has... poor kid!

I am going to attempt to upload some video.. no promises!

We had a wonderful day today!

I am sorry that I am writing this post and skipping all of the holidays, but today was such a wonderful day with my family I had to share!

Today started with a good nights sleep from all kids. And Jeff got up and took Maddie and Savannah to the bagel store and grocery store at 8 am. I got an extra hour to sleep while Tyler napped. It was so special to me to get that extra time. I don't think he has ever done this for me! Then we all got dressed and ate breakfast. We then did some productive things. Jeff cleaned out the refrigerator (and I did not even have to ask him to do it!) while I went through all of Maddie's old clothes and dug out some more clothes for Savannah. Then it was lunch time and Savannah took a nap. While she was napping Madison and I made letter cinnamon and sugar bread sticks and ran to Crate and Barrel. When we came home Savannah and Madison played with snow in the kitchen sink... SO MUCH FUN! We made a mini snowman too! Savannah was not too sure of the snow at first, but after a few minutes she could not get enough. Then we ordered dinner out. After dinner we took all the kids outside to play in the snow. This was Tyler's first time out (he hated it!) And Savannah's first time out this year! She loved it. She was in a toddler sled for a few minutes until I asked for Tyler to go in it. Then she jumped in Maddie's saucer and scooted her butt and flew down the hill. She loved it and could not get enough. Maddie does not like firetruck whistles and there was one in the neighborhood, so she really did not want to venture too far on the saucer. But she found other ways to have fun. We finished the night off with warm baths and a snack. Jeff is now pulling pork for our dinner tomorrow night, and I am blogging. When we are both done we are headed to the hottub! YEAH... We really had an awesome day. Not too many tears, happy kids, and no stress. I needed a day like today so badly!
Thank you Jeff for being a part of a wonderful day at home with the kids! I love you!

Tyler Update

I just thought is would be easiest to update you on Tyler's ENT appointment rather than call a million people! So as you may or may not know Tyler has had some touble drinking, breathing, spitting up since he was born. As Dr directed we waited until he was 4 Months old to have him checked out by and ENT (Ear Nose and Throat ) Doctor. My primary physician said they would probably scope his nose and throat, so waiting until he was 4 months was best. Anyhow, yesterday Jeff and I took him to Dr Taquina at Robert Wood. I have never been to an ENT before so I was surprised that they did not have tables for the patients, but chairs that resembled those from the dentist! I was not overly impressed with her office, but she seemed knowledgeable. So the scope was horrible. He screamed terribly and I cried that I was putting him through this! But we did find out that he has rather large adenoids. So what does this mean?? Nothing really for now. She gave us an antibiotic to see if that helps make them a bit smaller, but really that is only a temporary thing. We may have to do it again and again! Then she said he may grow into them or they may grow with him. If they grow with him, he may suffer from ear infections and other things related. And may one day have to have them removed! But that is a while down the road! She said if he is still like this when he is one we can bring him back. I am crossing my fingers that the antibiotic helps and he grows into his adenoids! Poor guy! I still feel bad that I put him through that. I think next time (if there is) Jeff is holding him and I am leaving the room! I will keep you updated on the affects of the antibiotic!

Snow...

Today we had a little snow fall. Just enough to throw on coats and boots and play for a few minutes. This was Savannah's first time in the snow as a walker. She would not touch the snow and was amazed at the falling snow. She could not stop watching it! Here are a few pics! (Note: I am not a bad mom...they were only out there for a few minutes)

Twins??

I have been looking at a lot of pictures of my kids. I love to compare them and see how they all look different, but so much alike. I can not get over how Savannah and Tyler look so much alike. They too have thier differences, but so much is the same! And I love that they look like me!!! See for yourself! Tell me what you think. I will dig out a picture soon of Maddie too so I can put them all together so you can all see!
